There are several types of pallet elevators to choose from and a typical example is the Up Pallet Elevator whose main function is to help in transporting pallets between various floors and in the process helps reduce the need of using forklifts. The other type of pallet elevator is the Down Pallet Elevator, which also serves more or less the same functions as the Up elevator and it in fact, is generally used in warehouses where pallets need to be transported between different floors. You can choose from two options that include the custom infeed as well as the discharge elevators. A typical Down Pallet Elevator generally has a maximum load capacity of about four thousand pounds and the maximum pallet size that it can handle would be about 48 x48 feet, while the typical load size would be about seventy-two feet.

There are also other options related to the pallet elevator which include the one tonne and two tonne elevators. Since these elevators need to be very strong, you need to look for those that have sturdy frames that should preferably be made out of steel and which are designed especially to withstand heavy usage on a daily basis. Other useful features worth looking for include unique Tyne hole positioning which lets the operator access the pallet elevator from all sides.

Some of the better pallet elevators even use Spring Relieving Tool which allows for easy adjustment of the load capacity every time new pallets are loaded or even unloaded. Other than that, you can check the load range for different numbers of springs being used in the pallet elevator with a typical load of two hundred pounds being handled by a single spring while four springs should be able to handle maximum thousand pounds.

Of course, if you need to lift higher weights and more particularly double the weight of a one tonne pallet elevator. Then there is the two tonne elevator that uses a double row of springs and which has an especially toughened frame made from steel. Such an elevator must be designed in order to typically withstand the most severe tests of weight. In such an elevator a single spring should be able to withstand loads of as high as fourteen hundred pounds, while five springs should take loads of twenty-four hundred pounds.
